David Cronenberg’s New Short Film ‘The Nest’

David Cronenberg, the visionary director behind such films as Scanners, Videodrome and The Fly, has just released a new short film titled The Nest.

The short film is a slightly more subjective take on the Body Horror genre that Cronenberg helped to create. The film is a slowly plodding 9:18. The film feels like a stripped back, streamlined entry into Cronenberg’s oeuvre. The Nest could almost be described too barebones or confrontationally restricted.

Regardless if the end result of the film is successful, it’s good to see Cronenberg making more content. Check out the film below and see for yourself.
