For those who don’t know the Bechdel Test is a criteria from measuring stories by the amount and quality of their interactions of female characters. It’s really very simple. Do the female characters have definable characteristics and do the female characters have talk to each other about something OTHER THAN A MAN. Seems pretty simple right? Well, you’d be surprised how many movies don’t pass it.
Well, now it would seem that audiences are responding more to the films that pass the Bechdel Test than don’t. Which gives me hope for the future.
