It seems like every other day there’s another rumor about David Goyer and Zach Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel Superman Batman.
This weeks rumor is that Warner Bros is looking for an older actor for to portray this new incarnation of the Dark Knight.
Granted, all of this is slightly up in the air as Goyer is still supposedly working on the screenplay, but the first piece of evidence that most people are using to support this rumor is that when Snyder announced the film he used a line from Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns.
The second is that Snyder and Frank Miller had a meeting regarding Miller’s insights on adapting the caped crusader and the man of steel to the big screen.
These facts are leading people to suppose that Warner Bros is aiming to have an older actor to play Bruce Wayne.
I, for one, am not sold. I can see why people would think this but I’m really not sold on this fact. Additionally, the fact that the script isn’t finished and that things are very much still in the nebulous ‘this is what we’re doing’ phase I haven’t seen any evidence that really has convinced me.
We don’t even have an official title for the film yet. We’ve been calling it Superman Batman but we’ve had no confirmation from Warner’s if that’s even exactly what the film is going to be called.
