Barry Gibb Remembers Brother Robin with Video

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the video below speaks several million.

Barry Gibb, the eldest (and now the only surviving) brother among the Bee Gees, recently posted the moving video montage below in honor of brother Robin Gibb, who succumbed to cancer on Sunday at the age of 62. The elder Gibb has yet to make any public statement about Robin’s passing, opting instead to let the video speak for him.

Entitled simply “Bodding” (Robin’s nickname), the montage consists of various footage of Robin and the Bee Gees spanning several decades, and is set to “A Heart Like Mine,” a song recorded late in the Bee Gees’ career (appearing on the trio’s 1993 release Size Isn’t Everything). Robin Gibb covers lead vocals on the song.

Various news reports suggest that the family plans both a private funeral in Oxfordshire, UK, and a public memorial service in St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, but details on either/both are yet to be released.

David Tillman is an independent composer/arranger whose primary work involves writing jingles for commercials for radio and television, with several film and television placements to his credit as well. David has a fascination for all things related to the music business and the music industry in general, an obsession which his wife finds to be mildly unhealthy at times. His personal tastes in music are in electronica and industrial rock, and include The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk and Nine Inch Nails (he loves that Trent Reznor is writing soundtracks!). When not in his office or in his man-cave, David enjoys skiing, hiking, the occasional game of golf, and sometimes just lounging by the pool. David lives with his wife and three children in Los Angeles, CA.
