Chris Brown Suffers Seizure: Report

Rihanna’s ex and R&B heartthrob Chris Brown is no stranger to TMZ headlines. After tweeting earlier this week that he was contemplating retirement following the upcoming album X, the gossip website is reporting emergency crews were summoned to the L.A. recording studio Record Plant after Brown reportedly suffered a seizure.

Brown’s representatives haven’t issued a statement, but a Los Angeles Fire Department official confirmed to E! News that crews responded to the studio after receiving a call at 1:09 a.m. Friday morning.

Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran tweeted “Prayers all day” and “a lot on my mind today… I need a hug,” which is likely directed at Brown’s condition. The popular and controversial R&B singer, 24, has experienced seizures as a child but refused to be hospitalized this time, TMZ reported.

The seizure comes at a vulnerable time for Brown, who earlier this week was booked and released at a jail in Van Nuys, Calif., in connection to an earlier hit-and-run for which he has an Aug. 15 court date. He pled not guilty.

“Fine China,” Chris Brown’s initial single from the forthcoming album X, has been a mainstay at urban radio since release.
