Tom Hardy is one of the most interesting actors working in film today. He’s versatile, he’s charismatic, and he’s got the chops to pull off just about anything. He’s played England’s most insane serial criminal, Captain Picard’s clone, Bane, and we’ll soon see him on screen as Mad Max. He’s really a wonder to behold.
Elton John’s Rocket Films will be producing a biopic of the infamous singer titled ‘Rocketman’ and Tom Hardy will star. The film will be directed by Michael Gracey who is also directing the P.T. Barnam biopic ‘The Greatest Showman On Earth”. The script was written by Lee Hall, the writer of Billy Elliot.
Perviously, Elton John had said that he’d like Justin Timberlake to play him, based of the success of the young actor/singer/pop icon in the video for ‘the train don’t stop there anymore’. Tom Hardy, after losing some of his muscle from Bane/Mad Max is a good choice for the roll. He’s got the chops and the fan base to support this type of film.
