Friday the 13th Reboot Could Be Directed By David Bruckner

The newest incarnation of the Friday the 13th franchise has been simmering for a while. We’ve heard rumors of found footage, of complete rejection of all the films that had come before, and a return to original continuity. Any and all of which have pros and cons.

The film just got a massive injection of cool this week as the word on the street is that David Bruckner, one of the directors of The Signal and V/H/S, is reportedly in talks to helm the film. If this does happen, it’ll be a massive step in the right direction. The franchise has had so many missteps and ill guided entries that it’s about time that someone with some serious artistic qualifications, who still has a heavy street rep in the horror community, is given the reigns.
