New has broken that Francis Ford Coppola has taken an office at Paramount and is beginning prep work on a new film. The as-yet-untitled- film is described by Coppola as:
‘a coming-of-age story that focuses on a boy and girl in their late teens [and] span from the 1930s to the 1960s.’
Regardless if this has any connection to the Godfather franchise, which it likely doesn’t, color me intrigued. It’s been a minute since Coppola’s done anything interesting and reverting back to his tried and true genre sounds like the perfect movie.
It is not yet confirmed if Paramount is in any way connected to the film.
Let’s just hope that it doesn’t come out anywhere near as bad as this:
