Guillermo del Toro Might Use TV’s Constantine For His Justice League Dark Film

Guillermo del Toro has been plugging away at his filmic ‘To Do’ list for a good while now. He’s slowly movie towards filming highly anticipated franchise installments Hellboy 3, Pacific Rim 2, and his Lovercraft love letter Mountains of Madness. However there’s one film that seems to still be lurking in the dark corners of Hollywood that has del Toro’s name still attached to it. Justice League Dark.

With the new Constantine television show making its way to the small screen this year many have been wondering if the JLD movie is still a go. Well, according to del Toro, it is and there’s also some confirmation about how the potential Constantine show would fit in.

Del Toro recently said:

“What I made clear to [Warner Bros.] is that the TV series will not affect the movie and they said ‘That’s okay.’ They said ‘You can have independence.’ Now, if we see the TV series and we can mesh with it or cast the same actor depending on where the movie is going, I would be happy to consider that.”

Which sounds like the best way to handle the issue. If the actor who is playing John Constantine really does a great job. Use him. Otherwise. Just recast and start fresh. Thank goodness that del Toro has his head on straight. Here’s hoping the film will be solid as well.
