Jason Siegle To Play David Foster Wallace In ‘The End Of The Tour’

David Foster Wallace is one of the most acclaimed authors of the past three or four decades. His book Infinite Jest skyrocketed him to international acclaim and granted him instant stardom.

A film about the real life book tour that David Foster Wallace embarked on to promote Infinite Jest is currently being slated for a January or February production date and Jason Siegel has been hired to portray the notable author. Jesse Eisenberg will co-star as rolling stone journalist David Lipsky who accompanied Wallace on the tour.

Casting Siegle in the role of Wallace definitely isn’t the common sense thing to do. Siegel is a big name, sure, but for his comedic work. Not his dramatic efforts. That being said his dramatic touches in Freaks and Geeks are some of the best that show ever got.

Color me excited.
