Lee Thompson Young, the actor most famous for his portrayals of the titular character on the Disney Channel show ‘The Famous Jet Jackson’ and Smallville’s Vic Stone aka Cyborg, was found dead in his apartment yesterday.

In a statement issued by Young’s manager the cause of death was confirmed to have been suicide.

Young also appeared in the film ‘Friday Night Lights’, the television show ‘Scrubs’, and the feature film ‘Akeelah and the Bee’. Most recently Young had been appearing as a recurring character on the TNT police procedural Rizzoli & Isles.

Young is survived by his mother and sister.
