MGM Is Rebooting The Addams Family As An Animated Film

The Addams Family started on as a comic strip, it’s only natural that they evolve into 2-D form. MGM has decided to move everyone’s favorite spooky neighbors next door into an animated format.

MGM is in final talks with Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun to enable the film to be made. It will eventually be produced by Andrew Mittman and Miserocchi.  As for the writer? Well, it looks like they’re going with Pamela Pettler. She’s written Corpse Bride, 9, and Monster House. Not a shabby resume, if I do say so myself.

The Addams Family seems primed for an animated feature film. It’s almost surprising that this hasn’t happened sooner. Let’s hope that Angelica Houston comes back to reprise her role of Morticia Addams.
