Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be the final Marvel film released before Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The film will chronicle the return of someone from Steve Rogers’ past. It’s also see the addition of The Falcon, Black Widow and Robert Redford.
I’m looking forward to the film, without a doubt. However, I’m nervous about the fact that they’re taking the film in the direction that it looks like their taking it in. I’m all for a darker more morally conscious Cap movie. I’m just worried that the film will miss the mark in the same way that the first one did. I want Steve to actually be a patriot not just a guy in a blue costume. I want him to be the Captain America that we got in the Avengers.
Granted, the first hour of The First Avenger was awesome. But the second half of the movie was so bad I couldn’t even handle it. It was abysmal. The fifteen seconds in Avengers where he gets up on the hood of the car and barks orders at the police man was more Captain America that the entire first movie.
Here’s hoping that the Cap sequel will live up to the potential. Check out all the promotional photos in the mean time.
