Nicolas Cage Retreads Familiar Ground In ‘Tokarev’

Nicolas Cage has been making the same movie for going on five years now. Every single film he makes feels straight out of a cookie cutter mold. It’s so bizarre that it’s almost intriguing. Does Cage have a cadre of writers tasked only with writing below par genre fair for him to star in?

Cage’s latest effort Tokarev, starts out looking like a Taken rip off but then quickly dovetails into traditional Cage-isms.

At this point it’s surprising he even makes films. It seems like it’d be cheaper if he just auctioned off the rights to his old movies which studios could edit together into new ones. That’s pretty much what this film feels like.
