Since releasing Apocalyptic Love earlier this year, Slash hasn’t been letting the grass grow under his feet. He, along with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, has spent the better part of the year touring in support of the album. The record itself has done well, peaking at Number 4 on the Billboard 200, and at Number 1 on the Hard Rock charts.
If you haven’t been able to catch the show thus far, now you have the chance (ah, the Interwebs). Slash’s South American tour just kicked off in Rio de Janeiro on November 2. It was apparently televised, and now the full concert footage is available on YouTube (at least for the moment–ht: hennemusic). We’ve taken the liberty of embedding it below.
Mind you, this isn’t fan bootleg footage; this is a professional broadcast of the full concert—19 songs and two encores. While it isn’t in HD or anything, the audio and video are at least presentable. And of course, with a guitarist like Slash, the best way to hear him is in a live performance. Nothing quite like it.
After finishing up his South American tour, Slash plays a few dates in Mexico before returning to the States. If you live in the US and still want to catch the show in person, you’ll have three more chances before the tour wraps this year: December 2 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, or Dec. 8 and 9 at Bayfront Park in Miami. If you don’t plan on making any of those dates, the video below may be the next best thing. Enjoy!
