The Transporter Reboot Has Found It’s New Frank Martin

Frank Martin is the role that catapulted Jason Statham from quirky lead in a few British gangster movies to international actor. The Transporter films have collectively grossed dump truckloads of cash. They’ve been so successful that they’ve even spawned a television series, which is about to enter its second season.

For a good while now, the powers behind the original Transporter trilogy has been looking to making rebooted stab at the franchise. Statham, however, doesn’t seem interested in returning for another go at the Transporter. So, the new franchise is reportedly going to be a trilogy of prequels.

And the man who is going to play the bald headed car driver?

Ed Skrein who played Daario Naharis in Game of Thrones will be stepping into the drivers seat for Transporter 4, 5, and 6.

“We searched everywhere to find a fresh face who had the potential to become an action movie star and we’ve found the right match with Ed Skrein, who’s not only a great actor but also has enough charisma and physical stamina to play Frank Martin (the ‘Transporter’s’ leading role) with brio.”
