With Ted Dwane Making a “Steady Recovery”, Mumford & Sons Reschedule Tour

Good news on several fronts from the Mumford & Sons camp this week. First and foremost, the bandmates report that bassist Ted Dwane “is making a steady recovery from his recent operation.”

Secondly, happily for the fans, the band will be hitting the road again soon. Mumford & Sons plan to keep this weekend’s slot at Glastonbury 2013 (rumor has it that Dwane himself may play). They have also announced new North American tour dates for August and September (dubbed the “Full English North American Tour” with supporting acts The Vaccines and Bear’s Den), as well as the rescheduling of tour dates that had been previously cancelled. (All current dates listed below.)

Ted Dwane went into emergency surgery a few weeks ago to remove a blood clot from his brain, prompting the cancellation of all remaining North American shows for the band at the height of the festival and summer tour season. Among the cancellations were appearances at Bonnaroo and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, which of course could not be rescheduled. Dwane is reportedly home and doing well, as he shared a photo of himself on the band’s website and Facebook page with the caption, “Bear with a sore head! Thanks for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I’m home.”

Those who wish to attend the Full English Tour are advised to register for the Invitation Onsale at the Mumford & Sons website, which the band explains as “the most effective way to ensure the real fans get in and the ticket touts stay out.” Current tour dates are listed below.
